Trimps is a free online idle game about a small colony of creatures called Trimps. Gather food, wood and metal, build housing and workshops so more Trimps breed, and send armies into the world map to fight through zone after zone. Equipment, upgrades and challenges keep each run fresh, and portalling back to the start brings Helium perks that make every new run faster. Trimps is open-source software by the Trimps developers; play it in your browser with no download and no sign-up.

Quick start
- Press start and click to gather food, wood and metal.
- Build traps and check them to catch your first Trimps.
- Build huts, give your Trimps jobs and start fighting in the world.
How to play Trimps
- Trimps gather resources for you once you assign them jobs such as farmer, lumberjack, miner or scientist.
- Housing raises how many Trimps you can have, and Trimps breed on their own once you have some.
- Science pays for upgrades that unlock new buildings, jobs and abilities.
- Send a group of Trimps to fight through the cells of each zone. Better equipment and more Trimps per group let you push further.
- Later you unlock the Portal: travelling back to the start gives Helium, which buys perks that make every new run faster.
Controls
- Everything is played with the mouse: click to gather, build, hire and upgrade.
- Fight starts a battle in the current zone; AutoFight keeps sending new groups once you unlock it.
- Hover over a button to see its cost and effect.

Your progress is saved in your browser on this device, so you can close the page and come back later. Clearing this site's data deletes it. If you sign in, cloud saves can keep a copy of it on your account. The game's export option can also give you your save as text as a backup.
Can I play on my phone?
Trimps is laid out for a desktop browser. It works on large tablets, but small phone screens are cramped.
