What we store
You do not need an account to play, and we do not ask for personal information to play. Game progress, high scores and settings are saved in your own browser's local storage. If you choose to create an account, we store your e-mail address, your nickname and a securely hashed password (or, if you use Google sign-in, your Google account ID, name and profile picture link), your points, the games you have played with your best scores, and, when you use cloud save, a copy of your game save data so it can be restored on your other devices. If you tick the box for game update e-mails, we also record when you agreed, and we only e-mail you about new games picked for you and updates to games you play often: no advertising, and every e-mail has a link to unsubscribe. You can delete your account and all of this data at any time from your account page.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours records standard request information (IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time) so we can keep the site running and investigate errors and abuse. We keep these logs only as long as we need them for that, and we do not sell them.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Visitors who do not sign in get no cookies. When you use the sign-in pages or sign in, we set a security cookie that protects forms against forgery and, once signed in, a cookie that keeps you signed in. Signing in with Google also sets two short-lived cookies (at most 30 minutes) that carry the sign-in request and, for a new account, your Google name and e-mail address until you have set a password. All of them are strictly necessary and are not used for tracking. The site uses no analytics or advertising services. If we add any of these later, we will update this policy before they go live and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
Third parties
Pages, games and their files are served from our own servers or from a content delivery network acting on our behalf, and the pages do not load scripts, fonts or trackers from other companies. If you choose "Continue with Google", you are sent to Google to sign in and Google shares your name, e-mail address and profile picture link with us; Google's own privacy policy applies to that step. Account e-mails (verification and password reset) are delivered by an e-mail service provider acting on our behalf.
