Move stacks down in suit and build four king-to-ace runs.

Scorpion Solitaire is free to play in your browser with no download and no sign-up. Forty-nine cards are dealt into seven columns, some face down, with three cards held in reserve. Move any face-up card with everything on top of it onto the next higher card of the same suit, and build four complete king-to-ace runs to win. Easy and Standard let any card fill an empty column; Hard plays the classic king-only rule, with deals checked to be solvable.

How to play Scorpion Solitaire

  1. Forty-nine cards are dealt into seven columns of seven; the first four columns have three face-down cards at the bottom. Three cards are kept in reserve.
  2. Any face-up card can be moved together with all the cards on top of it onto the next higher card of the same suit.
  3. A face-down card that becomes uncovered turns over by itself. The reserve can be dealt once, at any time, one card onto each of the first three columns.
  4. A complete king-to-ace run of one suit is removed from the table. Remove all four to win.
  5. Easy and Standard let any card fill an empty column; Hard uses the classic rule that only a king can.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Hard so much harder?

With only kings allowed in empty columns, most random Scorpion deals cannot be won at all. Hard uses only deals a solver has proved winnable, and they leave very little room for mistakes.

Is every deal winnable?

Yes. Each deal was checked by a solver under the rules of its difficulty before it was offered.

What language is the game in?

You are playing it in English. The game is also available in Simplified and Traditional Chinese and always follows the language of the page.
